10/31/2018 0 Comments Photo assignment #5: animalISO: Auto
Shutter speed: 1/30 Aperture: F3.8 For our fifth photo assignment, I chose to capture pictures of my cat Lilly. She's someone who means a lot to me. I wanted to take pictures of her because she's pretty old, so I wanted some photos of her so I'll have those in case she passes... I debated on editing these, but I think that they're decent enough to leave plain. The only one I edited was the best picture (one closest to the bottom), and only brightened it. I learned that I need to work with my manual settings instead of always leaving it in auto.

10/26/2018 0 Comments MULTIPLE ME/YOU ASSIGNMENTFor this assignment, we had to pictures of someone using a steady hand or a tripod. Once we took several photos of someone in different parts of the picture, we uploaded them into photoshop. The goal was to create a picture having all of the shots you took combined together. It was frustrating at first if you forgot the steps, but all in all, it was a lot of fun! I learned how to use the lasso tool and how to layer mask pretty successfully, even though some parts of the photo's are kind of messed up.
10/22/2018 0 Comments school context photoshop assignmentFor this assignment, we had to take a picture of the school and photoshop it to create an entirely new context of the photo. First, we had to find a good spot to take a photo of the school, and then come up with an idea on how you want to photoshop it. I chose to do a scary graveyard in honor of Halloween coming up! This was the original photo... And here's the edited one! This assignment was a lot of fun to do. It was awesome having that creative freedom and being allowed to do whatever we want with the pictures! I learned a lot, for example, how to copy and paste photo's, cut photo's, etc.
10/22/2018 1 Comment photo assignment #4: black and whiteFor our fourth photo assignment, I chose to capture a picture of my new baby brother and put it in black and white. I know that don't seem all that great, but they hold a very special place in my heart...but I'm pretty proud of these pictures! I debated on editing these less or even more, but overall I think B&W was a good choice. I turned them black and white, fixed the brightness and contrast along with the exposure and that's about it. I learned that I need to work with my manual settings instead of always leaving it in auto. ISO: Auto / Shutter Speed: 1/8 / Aperture: F3.5
10/15/2018 0 Comments car photoshop assignmentThe edited photo The original photo In this assignment we had to photoshop an original picture of a car and use new tools in photoshop to create a duplicate of the picture that was are finished product. I learned how to use many different tools in photoshop and how hard it can be to use the the tools when you don't know how to use them correctly. I also edited my friend Kylar to even further put my newly found photoshop "skills" to the test...
10/15/2018 0 Comments PanoromaFor this assignment we had to make panoramas. A panorama is a picture that is made up of multiple pictures to create one long photo. Panos are often used for landscape and nature photos along with buildings. I took pictures of things around the school since I wasn't there for either of the days we did this assignment. After I took the pictures, I put them into Photoshop and used photomerge to create the panorama.
10/15/2018 4 Comments photo assignment #3: macroISO: 100 SHUTTER SPEED: 1/15 APERTURE: F3.5 LENS: Macro For our third photo assignment, I chose to capture a macro shot of a peach. I didn't really know how to do it at first, but I'm pretty proud of these pictures! I debated on editing this photo more, but I only contrasted it a bit, but I feel like it looked fine alone. I learned that I should fix my lighting create more of a dynamic picture to make it look more interesting to look at, and to keep working on my lighting! Overall, I think my photos turned out pretty good this week. 10/8/2018 0 Comments photo ASSIGNMENT #2: PORTRAITISO: 100 SHUTTER SPEED: 1/30 APERTURE: F2.8 For our first second assignment, I chose to capture a portrait of my mother. I had so much fun shooting these! I loved how she pose and I loved spending this time with her before my new baby brother comes! It was pretty difficult trying to capture these because she was confused on how to pose and she was being cranky, but oh well. I learned that I should fix my lighting. I also used some photoshop to change the saturation and hue. 10/5/2018 1 Comment Photo inspiration #2For the second photo shooting assignment, I have chosen to focus on the subject of portrait. I am hoping to work on getting better at capturing someone's personality through a single picture, because as we all know that a picture speaks a thousand words. I think this will be a great exercise for me putting my camera in manual mode so I can get the hang of doing it all by myself! I'm planning on taking a picture of my mother with her pregnant belly to capture what motherhood and beauty looks like. I think these photo's are stunning and captures Natalie Portman's classic sense of beauty and grace. She was coping Demi Moore from her pregnancy photo shoots. I just hope my mom doesn't give birth before I take the pictures! I'm very excited to do this photo this week! I hope you guys will like it!
10/2/2018 0 Comments POP art assignmentFor this cool assignment, we had to photoshop two different pictures in a pop art style-esque. It was difficult to do at first. We had to use a picture of us from our desktop and throw that into photoshop, then we had to make sorts of adjustments to it! We also had to do another picture, so I chose to do a picture of the school that I took a few weeks ago for one of our composition assignments that never made the final cut. WHAT I LEARNED: I learned a lot in this assignment! I'm not really familiar with photoshop but this helped me navigate my way around it, as we'll have to use it for future assignments coming up. I missed a few days of school, but I was able to come in early in the morning and finish up the assignment! |
