10/15/2018 0 Comments PanoromaFor this assignment we had to make panoramas. A panorama is a picture that is made up of multiple pictures to create one long photo. Panos are often used for landscape and nature photos along with buildings. I took pictures of things around the school since I wasn't there for either of the days we did this assignment. After I took the pictures, I put them into Photoshop and used photomerge to create the panorama.

10/15/2018 4 Comments photo assignment #3: macroISO: 100 SHUTTER SPEED: 1/15 APERTURE: F3.5 LENS: Macro For our third photo assignment, I chose to capture a macro shot of a peach. I didn't really know how to do it at first, but I'm pretty proud of these pictures! I debated on editing this photo more, but I only contrasted it a bit, but I feel like it looked fine alone. I learned that I should fix my lighting create more of a dynamic picture to make it look more interesting to look at, and to keep working on my lighting! Overall, I think my photos turned out pretty good this week. 10/8/2018 0 Comments photo ASSIGNMENT #2: PORTRAITISO: 100 SHUTTER SPEED: 1/30 APERTURE: F2.8 For our first second assignment, I chose to capture a portrait of my mother. I had so much fun shooting these! I loved how she pose and I loved spending this time with her before my new baby brother comes! It was pretty difficult trying to capture these because she was confused on how to pose and she was being cranky, but oh well. I learned that I should fix my lighting. I also used some photoshop to change the saturation and hue. 10/5/2018 1 Comment Photo inspiration #2For the second photo shooting assignment, I have chosen to focus on the subject of portrait. I am hoping to work on getting better at capturing someone's personality through a single picture, because as we all know that a picture speaks a thousand words. I think this will be a great exercise for me putting my camera in manual mode so I can get the hang of doing it all by myself! I'm planning on taking a picture of my mother with her pregnant belly to capture what motherhood and beauty looks like. I think these photo's are stunning and captures Natalie Portman's classic sense of beauty and grace. She was coping Demi Moore from her pregnancy photo shoots. I just hope my mom doesn't give birth before I take the pictures! I'm very excited to do this photo this week! I hope you guys will like it!
10/2/2018 0 Comments POP art assignmentFor this cool assignment, we had to photoshop two different pictures in a pop art style-esque. It was difficult to do at first. We had to use a picture of us from our desktop and throw that into photoshop, then we had to make sorts of adjustments to it! We also had to do another picture, so I chose to do a picture of the school that I took a few weeks ago for one of our composition assignments that never made the final cut. WHAT I LEARNED: I learned a lot in this assignment! I'm not really familiar with photoshop but this helped me navigate my way around it, as we'll have to use it for future assignments coming up. I missed a few days of school, but I was able to come in early in the morning and finish up the assignment! 10/1/2018 1 Comment Photo assignmENT: #1 STILL LIFEFor our first photo assignment, I chose to capture a still life. I had so much fun shooting these! I collected flowers from my garden, used a mirror that I had in my room as decor, some geodes and crystals, and my favorite green teapot! It was pretty difficult trying to capture these because the lighting in my house is kind of off, but I think I did the best I could for being sick and could barely get out of bed! I learned that I should fix my lighting in a photo so I won't have to photoshop it to make it brighter. shutter speed: 1/25 aperture: 3.5 iso: autoFor these photos, I used the crop and brightening tools in photoshop.
9/28/2018 0 Comments shutter and aperture assignmentIN THESE PHOTOS, I WAS ATTEMPTING TO SHOW THE DIFFERENCE IN WHAT PUTTING YOUR CAMERA IN DIFFERENT SHUTTER SPEEDS ACCOMPLISH AND CAPTURE. YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE, BUT WE CAN COMPARE THE FIRST PICTURE AND THE LAST. IN THE FIRST PICTURE, THE SHUTTER SPEED IS 1/10, AND YOU CAN TELL IT'S BLURRY, AND THAT THE SUBJECT WAS IN MOTION; WHEREAS IN THE SECOND PHOTO, IT'S MUCH CLEARER AND LOOKS AS IF SHE'S FROZEN IN TIME, WITH THE FASTER SHUTTER SPEED OF 1/100. #1 Aperture: F2.8 #2 Aperture: F4.0 #3 Aperture: F6.3 #4 Aperture: 8.0 I WAS WORKING ON SHOWING THE DIFFERENCE IN WHAT YOUR CAMERA CAN CAPTURE IF YOU TAKE PICTURES IN DIFFERENT APERTURE SETTINGS, AND HOW THE CLEARNESS OF DEPTH OF FIELD CHANGES AS WELL. ALTHOUGH YOU CANNOT TELL IN THESE PHOTOS, I CHANGED THE APERTURES TO DISPLAY THE DEPTH OF FIELD. IN THE FIRST PHOTO THE THE RED CUP IS IN FOCUS, WHEREAS THE WALL IS NOT, BUT IN THE LAST ONE, BOTH THE WALL AND THE RED CUP ARE IN FOCUS. WHAT i learned: |
